Approval for admission to Germany is granted to the main person themselves as well as immediate family members (a spouse, minor unmarried children) and, provided the appropriate proof is submitted, same-sex partners). In addition, family members may be eligible if credible proof can be provided that they

• have a special – not only economic – relationship of dependence with the main person and/or
• are facing a concrete and ongoing threat which is directly linked to the concrete risk to the main person due to the latter’s work or vulnerability.
